Crowning of Mary





During the Month of May -- a month both named for and dedicated to Mary -- Catholics have long honored her by placing a crown on her image. The tradition in the United States and many other countries has been for school children to have a "May Crowning" ceremony, with a procession, pretty dresses and a wreath of fresh flowers that one child gets to place on the statue. A song for these festivals, "Bring Flowers of the Fairest", with its refrain "O Mary, we crown thee with blossoms today, Queen of the Angels, Queen of the May..." has been a familiar favorite for generations.

Mary is the Mother of Our Church- lesson plan for 1st grade on up with: Objectives, Review, Vocabulary Words, Bible Story with questions, Activities, Crafts, Games, Snacks, Puzzles/Mazes/Worksheets

Rosary- references, activities, coloring, crafts, games, puzzles, worksheets, etc.

Rosary Lapbooks- is a creative way for children to record information they are learning and create attractive presentations of that information, as well as use the information to study.

The Catholic Toolbox- Hail Mary Activities
Coloring, games, puzzles, worksheets, etc.





Mary is the Mother of Our Church File Folder Game- The objective of the game is to answer questions about Mary to receive a letter tile and spell Mary.





Hail Mary File Folder Game- How well do you know the prayer Hail Mary? Work your way around the game board and find out!
