The Lord is My Shepherd Magnet- A cute sheep magnet out of popsicle sticks. You can omit the other wooden pieces and mini chalkboard in this craft and just use cardboard or construction paper. (Hands On Crafts for Kids 20-Minute Crafts, page 30 & 31).
Woolly Sheep Ornament- A cute simple sheep that can be made like in the book or made out of black construction paper, fiberfill, and white crayon to draw in the eyes. (Christian Crafts for Christmastime by Kathy Ross, page 38 & 39).
The Lost Sheep Hide and Seek- A great activity game to go with the Bible story. (Super Bible Game Book by Linda Standke, page 146 for game pieces and page 146 for directions).
The Lost Coin Hide and Seek Game- A great activity game to the Parable of the Lost Coin. Children will love hunting for their lost coin as you teach the simple truth about God and his love for us. (Super Bible Game Book by Linda Standke, page 146).
Son Search- The Really Big Book of Bible Games, page 88
books.google.com- Lost and Found (The Parable of the Lost Son)- As they explore the story of the prodigal son, your kids will discover God loves each of us. (The Encyclopedia of Bible Games for Children’s Ministry, page 87).
The Prodigal Son Comes Home Game- A fun board game about the Prodigal Son. The object of the game is to get your markers to the banquet. (Super Bible Game Book by Linda Standke, page 95 - 106 for directions, game board markers, game board, and game cards).
Introduce game: Why did the son find it so demeaning and disgraceful to tend the swine? (Because it was the most menial and degrading of employment. Jews cannot eat pork and consider swine unclean.)
