Who am I?

Need: 1 chair

Directions: The students sit in their own seats while the one who is “It” sits in a chair in front of the room, with his back toward the other students. Someone is chosen by the teacher to go up and stands behind the chair. Then “It” asks the person various questions to guess who the person is. The unknown person must answer the questions truthfully, but can disguise their voice. (Determine the number of questions “It” can ask to person before playing starts.) After the questions have been asked and answered, “It” must guess who the person is. Whether if “It” is right or wrong, the unknown person then becomes “It”.

Shoe-Tie Guy- Kids will play a high-octane game to discover what it means to serve Jesus. (The Encyclopedia of Bible Games for Children’s Ministry, page 72) Shoe Relay Race (this game could emphasize that John said he wasn’t good enough to untie Jesus’ shoes) Review Games For John the Baptist

Locust Hunt- Hide several plastic or paper locust (or grasshoppers) around the room. Have the students find locust like John the Baptist did.

I am a first time, self appointed sunday school teacher(with permission from our parish priest) in a remote and depressed area in the Philippines. I attended some seminars for catechists hosted by our parish. However, I find the materials ( made available to us) not appropriate for my "mix" class comprising of kids as young as five and as old as 12.

I sought the internet for materials that I could use and came across your website.
It is here that I found the materials that would match the requirements of my class. All I have to do is translate the lessons in the vernacular so the little kids would understand.

The materials would greatly help me and I thank you very much for this.
