Testify to the Truth

Introduce game- Everyone who belongs to the truth listens to Jesus’ voice. Let’s see how well you can listen.

Need- Paper towel roll (empty)

Directions- Have students sit in a circle on the floor. Using the paper towel roll, the teacher will whisper something that Jesus would say into the student’s ear on her left. That student then must repeat what the teacher said to the next student on his left by whispering into the paper towel roll. This continues around the circle to the last student who must say what Jesus had said.

Pin the Crown on Christ

holyheroes.com- FeastDay! The Liturgical Year Board Game
This is a learning game based on informative trivia questions for each of the liturgical (Church) seasons. If players start on the Advent season, the start of the Church year, and progress around the board, they can in effect “play” their way through the year. There are question cards for each season along with bonus FeastDay! cards explaining about feasts and devotions.

catholiccompany.com- Liturgical Year Board Game
Children learn best through fun experiences, and the Liturgical Year Board Game provides both: it's an exciting game that teaches about the Catholic year in an engaging way that doesn't feel like learning. The Liturgical Year Board Game is perfect for parents and relatives, Catholic school teachers, catechists and DREs of children in 3rd through 6th grade, and middle or high school youth ministers.

Sitting Duck- (You can play this game with 4 people or divide the group into 4 teams.) When players answer questions correctly about the liturgical year they get to roll a die and move around the game board. If you land on a sitting duck, all players must say out loud “Sitting Duck!” Another player who happens to come by on the game board (they can land on the space or just be passing by on their roll) can BUMP you back to START. The first player to FINISH wins.

Seasons of the Liturgical Year Board Game- This game is based on the Feast Day! and can be played individually or in teams. The object of the game is to collect tokens by moving around the game board by answering questions about feast days as well as important facts about the teachings of the Church that are woven through the Liturgical Year. The player with the most tokens at the end of the game, wins.
