Thank you God Game
This is a memory game. Have the players seated in a circle. The first player begins by saying, "Thank you God for . . ." He can say anything he likes, for example an orange, a pair of shoes, a camel, or a pet dog. The next player in line begins the same way but adds a second object after repeating the first. The third player also begins, "Thank you God for . . ." He must repeat the first two objects and then add a third. So it goes on, but if a player can’t repeat or mixes up the order of the objects then he is out.
If you haven't got many players, the same children can keep adding more items. The game continues until one player remains or until time is up. Some lists get very long and are remembered for years by the players. A variation is to decide that the objects chosen must start with the letters of the alphabet in order, for example "apple, bat, cake...zebra." This makes it a little easier to remember. (You could also help the player if necessary so everyone can play).

Children learn best through fun experiences, and the Liturgical Year Board Game provides both: it's an exciting game that teaches about the Catholic year in an engaging way that doesn't feel like learning. The Liturgical Year Board Game is perfect for parents and relatives, Catholic school teachers, catechists and DREs of children in 3rd through 6th grade, and middle or high school youth ministers.
Sitting Duck!- Answer questions about the liturgical year as you make your way around the board. Be careful for the "Sitting Duck!" space or you might have to go all the way back to START.
Seasons of the Liturgical Year- This game is based on the Feast Day! and can be played individually or in teams. The object of the game is to collect tokens by moving around the game board by answering questions about feast days as well as important facts about the teachings of the Church that are woven through the Liturgical Year. The player with the most tokens at the end of the game, wins.

Name That Saint Game
Learn about the Catholic Saints in this fun filled game of questions about their lives. Name That Saint is a game where the sooner you identify the saint, the more points you receive. Points range from 10 to 4 per clue and four clues are given with each saint question. This game is based on the game Name That Catholic Saint. Game can end when the person/team reaches a certain number of points. Put your own twist to the game!
Rules:
1. Choose how many points are needed to win the game.
2. Youngest player starts and next players follow clockwise.
3. Person to the right of the player trying to identify the saint is the clue reader.
4. The player has only one guess per clue.
5. Have a piece of paper handy or use a dry erase board to keep score.
6. You can play individually or in teams.
7. If the person cannot identify the saint after all the clues have been revealed, the next person may identify the saint (they do not forfeit their upcoming turn). If they are correct, they receive 4 points and then it is their turn.
Preparation:
Print out Question Cards on card stock. Use only the cards that reflect your student’s abilities. Laminate or cover Question Cards with clear contact paper to make them last. Place Question Cards face down in a small basket. Have another basket for discards.
*Use the Question Cards that are provided or make your own. You can also make cards specific to what you have been learning in your classroom. You can even have the students make cards for the opposing players/teams. There are 104 Question Cards posted for you to choose from. Note: Please take in consideration that I am just a Mom and I'm providing these question cards to the best of my abilities. I tried to make them as accurate as possible, but I know I probably made a few mistakes and it was not intentional.

Introduce game- What happened to Elisha after he only cured Naaman the Syrian captain of leprosy? When the people in the synagogue heard this, they were all filled with fury. They rose up, drove him out of the town, and led him to the brow of the hill on which their town had been built, to hurl him down headlong.
Need- Empty 2-liter bottle, picture/coloring page of Elisha, tape, balled up paper or small soft ball
Directions- Have students draw and color Elisha, then cut him out and tape him on an empty 2-liter bottle. Remind the students that Elisha was driven out of town by the people in the synagogue. Tell the class "In Jesus' day, when people were caught committing certain crimes, the punishment may have been to drive them out of the town by the people living in the village.” Tell the students that we will recreate using our Elisha what it was like being driven out of town during Jesus’ time. Line up the students in one line and standing behind a chair. Put Elisha a few feet away in front of the chair. Students take turns throwing a small ball at Elisha.

Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water.” And they filled them up to the brim.

6 clear plastic cups
water in 6 large container (bucket will do)
6 empty jars
red food coloring
6 chairs
Divide the class into 6 equal teams and have them line up behind a chair with a bucket of water sitting on it. Across the room have an empty jar with food coloring inside it for each team. At your signal the first person in the team scoops up some water from their bucket and carries it over and pours it in their jar, returns to his line and hands the plastic cup to the second player. The first player then goes to the end of the line. The second player then repeats what the first player did. (Demonstrate what you want the children to do). Play is continued until the jar is full of wine.
