  5. I used your chain last year from my PREP (CCD) class and it was a huge hit! Thank you for updating it for 2014. I attach the chain to an "advent wreath" that can be hung on a door frame or something high. The wreath is a green paper plate with a coloring sheet of a picture of an advent wreath with candles. When it's time to light a candle, they color in the flame. I got such positive feedback from the parents. Thank you and God bless!

  17. I love making this chain with my class but you're missing a week for 2017

  18. Trudy-

All weeks are posted. This Advent is different than most. It starts December 3 (1st week violet), 2nd week December 10 (violet), 3rd week December 17 (rose), 4th week December 24 (violet), then Christmas Day which is white. I hope this helps.

  20. Amazing Grace,
This is my fifth year teaching fourth grade at a Catholic school. I have had my students make your Advent chain every year and they love it. I would like to suggest that next year you add Dec. 1st and have it read: "Set up or make an Advent wreath with your family." This way it will be already to light the first candle. Merry Christmas.
