Plan:

Circle Time:

Read your Easter/Empty Tomb story to the children. Then ask the questions from below:

Where was Jesus buried? (In a tomb.)

Why were guards placed around the tomb? (The Jewish leaders asked Pilate to put guards at the tomb because they were afraid someone might try to steal the body and claim that Jesus had come alive again.)

Later when Jesus’ friends came to the tomb, was Jesus inside? (No)

Why was Jesus' body not in the tomb? (Because he had risen from the dead.)

What day did Jesus rise from the dead? (Easter Sunday)

I love your blog! Another great lesson plan! Have you ever heard of or considered using "The Garden of the Good Shepherd" sticker book as part of your lessons for the Easter season? My daughter loves it and I'd like to have a way of incorporating it with everything else you have :) http://www.amazon.com/The-Garden-Good-Shepherd-Calendar/dp/156854362X
