Resist the Temptation (file folder game)
Resist the Temptation- The objective of the game is to resist the temptation just like Jesus did.
This game is free, however it is only to be used for classroom and personal use. It may not be published on any websites or other electronic media, or distributed in newsletters, bulletins, or any other form or sold for profit. Reproduction or retransmission of any materials, in whole or in part, in any manner, is not permitted. All graphics/images/clipart etc. used on all activities are not my own and are from various internet sources.
Directions- The objective of the game is to resist the temptation just like Jesus did. Place your markers on the “START” square. The players roll the die and move that number on the board. The players follow the directions on the square they landed on. Two or more may share one square at a time. If they land on a “Temptation” space, the player draws a Temptation card and reads it out loud. (If they cannot read, someone else can read it for them). On each card is a temptation situation that the player must answer how they would resist the temptation by telling what they should do. If they answer correctly, they move ahead two. If they are not correct and do not resist temptation, they are “Grounded” and lose a turn next time around. The first player to FINISH wins. Continue playing to find out who comes in second, third, and fourth place. (2 game boards to choose from!)

Oh, yes! The fiery game. I had forgotten about this one.
Nice idea. We're doing a series on the Lord's Prayer and this was good for "lead us not..." I really liked the cards. The fire graphics on the game board weren't all that appropriate for my kids, though. I put circles from a Twister game on the floor with chairs as "Temptation" squares and had the kids move around the room as their own game pieces. Then they made cardboard shields so should how God protects us from temptation and harm. The cards were readily adaptable to the 6 and 7 year olds I had and easy to translate into German:-) Thanks!
Kirche mit Kindern- Adapting the game to your needs is what I hope people do. Love the shield craft! :)
