Catechism of the Catholic Church (file folder game)
Here is a game to review the Catechism of the Catholic Church. It can be played individually or in teams.
This game is free, however it is only to be used for classroom and personal use. It may not be published on any websites or other electronic media, or distributed in newsletters, bulletins, or any other form or sold for profit. Reproduction or retransmission of any materials, in whole or in part, in any manner, is not permitted. All graphics/images/clipart etc. used on all activities are not my own and are from various internet sources.
Catechism of the Catholic Church: Answer questions about the Catechism of the Catholic Church as you go around the board. Collect the most tokens before the timer goes off and win.
DIRECTIONS
Designate a time limit and set an egg timer before playing game. Establish who will go first and the play moves to the right. Players start at GO and work their way around the board. Players roll the dice and move that many spaces. Players follow the directions on the space they land on. If the player lands on 7 Sacraments, The Creed, or Ten Commandments, the player to their right draws a question card that corresponds to the category and reads it out loud. If the player answers correctly, they stay where they are. If they are not correct, they must go back to where they were. Players collect a token (poker chip, milk jug top, etc.) when they past GO. The player with the most tokens when the timer goes off wins. (This game can be played individually or in teams.) Use only the cards that are age appropriate for your students.
SPECIAL PLACES
Chance- If a player lands on Chance, the player to their right can pick any category of question to ask them. If they are correct, they stay where they are. If they are incorrect, they must go back to where they were.
Stop To Pray- If a player lands on Stop To Pray, the player must recite a prayer of their choice correctly. If they are incorrect, they must go back to where they were.
Bible- If a player lands on Bible, the player must act out a person from the Bible for others to guess (like Charades). The person from the Bible cannot be someone that has already been done before.
Go Back To Roll Again- If a player lands on Go Back To Roll Again, they move back to that space and roll again (this still counts as their turn).

My students loved this game. I found that 20 minutes was not quite enough time for a group of 5 kids to get around the board. This would be great for 3-4 kids per group.
Jared-
I'm so glad that your students enjoyed the game! :)
Jared-
Try playing the game in teams to allow more players to play at the same time. :)
Thanks for the game, this looks great. I'll try this with my fourth grade class!
Steve- I hope your students enjoy the game!
