The Golden Rule File Folder Game- Introduction: Jesus was always kind and helpful to the people he met. Jesus showed his love by caring for those who needed his healing touch. The next time you want to let someone know how much you care for them, remember that we show others we care, not just by sending flowers and gifts, but by showing acts of kindness each and every day -- just like Jesus did.
Good Manners: How Rude!- A fun and exciting way to review what is considered rude behavior in today’s society. The game includes 6 types of interactive game cards: multiple choice, scenario, true/false, reward for good manners, charades, and consequences for bad manners. Players or teams roll the dice and move that many spaces on the board. Whichever color is on the space you land on indicates the color card that will be used. The player to your left will read the card aloud to you and you will try to answer correctly. If you answer your question correctly, you may stay where you are. If you are not correct, everyone says, “How Rude!” and you move back to where you were. The first player or team to get to the “FINISH,” square first is the WINNER!
Making The Right Decisions Games-
WWJD? (What Would Jesus Do?): Making the right decisions in life is hard to do, but if you let Jesus be your guide and think, “What Would Jesus Do?” it will make it a lot easier.
Moral Dilemmas Card Game: Why do problems come into our life? People face problems every day. Some are harder than others. There are many choices that the person can have to solve his/her problem, but which one is the best? What would Jesus want us to do?

Questions about Jesus' healing and power (Mark 1:29–34)
• Healing the sick: What is significant about Jesus healing Peter's mother-in-law in a private home, in addition to healing the man in the synagogue? Why does Mark point out that the woman immediately began to serve them after she was healed?
• Healing the crowd: Why did the people wait until after sunset to bring the sick and demon-possessed to Jesus? What does the massive response ("the whole city") reveal about the people and Jesus? Why does Jesus prohibit the demons from speaking when they know who he is?
• The nature of demons: The passage distinguishes between people who were "sick with various diseases" and those who were "possessed by demons". What does this distinction suggest about the different types of problems Jesus' power addresses?
Questions about Jesus' prayer and mission (Mark 1:35–39)
• Jesus' prayer life: Why does Jesus go to a desolate place to pray early in the morning? What does this action reveal about his humanity and his source of strength, especially after a long and draining day of ministry?
• The disciples' pursuit: The text says Simon and his companions "hunted" for Jesus (Mark 1:36). Why do they feel the need to chase after him? What does their eagerness and statement ("Everyone is looking for you!") reveal about their focus at this point in his ministry?
• Jesus' purpose: Why does Jesus refuse to return to the crowds in Capernaum to continue healing? What is the main emphasis of his mission, according to his own words in verse 38?
• Healing versus preaching: How does this passage challenge the idea that Jesus' primary purpose was to be a miracle worker? How does it demonstrate the balance between his preaching and his powerful acts?
Questions for modern application
• Avoiding the popularity trap: What are the temptations of seeking popularity or getting distracted by demands in your own life? How can Jesus' example of moving on provide guidance in maintaining focus on your core mission?
• Finding your "deserted place": What is your modern-day equivalent of Jesus' "deserted place" where you can recharge and connect with God? How can you make prayer a priority even when life is busy and demanding?
• Service and healing: After her healing, Peter's mother-in-law serves others. What does this teach us about the natural response to receiving God's healing and grace in our own lives? How does our own healing—physical, emotional, or spiritual—empower us to serve others?
